Segment 1 — How These Briefs Work

We’ll begin each Brief with a short, scripted orientation.
This part is meant to be read slowly and deliberately.
It gives us a shared frame, shared language, and a clear sense of what matters before we move on.

After that, we’ll open things up.
We’ll use these ideas as anchors for inquiry, examples, and current events.

If thoughts come up while I’m reading, I will integrate them.
We’ll have more time to explore them together, later.

Please note your comments, inquiry, ideas, suggestions and criticism in the chat for R&D!

Segment 2 — Why Orientation Comes First

Most of the mistakes we see with AI aren’t technical mistakes.
They’re orientation mistakes.

People move fast before they understand what problem they’re actually solving.
AI makes that easier — and more dangerous.

So before we talk about frameworks, methods, or next steps, we slow down.

Not to hesitate — but to see clearly.

Segment 3 — The Lodestone (PRIME)

PRIME is the orientation ALGORHYTHM we’ll keep returning to throughout this work.

[UPDATED] PRIME ALGORHYTHM (2026)

SK² + PCGL² + WE = S²A w/ S:DISS-X for Braided SPARC Outcomes

  • SK² (Self-Knowledge) = MAP × NAV (Identity & Intention).
  • PCGL² (Purpose-Centric Generative Living × Leadership).
  • WE (WELLTH) = Wellbeing + Enough.
  • S²A = Self × Situational Awareness.
  • S:DISS-X = Selective use of Dynamic Inquiry System Skills
(PING, PROBE, PROMPT, PERMIT, PERTURB, PAUSE, PACE).
  • Braided SPARC Outcomes:
Satisfaction, Purpose, Awareness, Results & Competent Confidence.

It’s not something you “use” once. It’s something you LISTEN for and return to when things start to blur in the chaos of change.

PRIME exists to help leaders retain judgment when speed, pressure, and noise rise.

We won’t teach it all at once. We’ll locate it first — and let understanding deepen over time.

Segment 4 — Why PRIME Became a Book

This work didn’t start as a book. It started as conversations. Coaching moments. Leadership decisions made under pressure.

But over time, something became clear: This couldn’t be passed on as tips. It couldn’t live as a checklist. And it couldn’t survive as a single workshop.

Orientation fades when Culture, Condition and Requirements (CCR) change. And CCR is changing faster than ever.

The LEADING AI book exists for one reason: to hold orientation over time, when speed, noise, and urgency try to pull SPARC apart.

REMEMBER SPARC… like the “ALL SPARK” in Transformers.

SPARC is a combinatorial network of Satisfaction, Purpose, Awareness, Results & Competence/Confidence which is the target to orient around.

Segment 5 — Where PRIME Fits in the LAI System

PRIME doesn’t stand alone. It lives inside a system by design.

  • LEADING AI: Where we do orientation work.
  • COACHING AI: Where we apply it in real situations.
  • Q&A: Where we pressure-test assumptions in real time.

Orientation. Application. Inquiry. Different functions. One learning system.

Segment 6 — What We’ll Do With PRIME

PRIME is not a productivity system. It’s not a method for doing more. It’s not a framework for predicting the future.

We will use it to:

  • Slow decisions down when speed becomes seductive.
  • Notice when assumptions quietly take over.
  • Retain “PRIME ALGORHYTHMIC” judgment in the presence of CCR@VUCA*.

Segment 7 — What Comes Next

Now the map is visible. Not detailed. Not complete. But visible enough to orient by.

In the next Brief, we’ll begin walking the map more deliberately.

For now, the work is simple: notice what sharpened, notice what unsettled, and let the rest wait.

*VUCA: Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity.
